Our Mission

The Kansas Historic Theatre Association was established to promote understanding, education and preservation of the rich heritage of Kansas' theatres and the on-going strategy to disseminate information concerning the work of the Association on theatre buildings, their architecture, history, rebuilding, designs and protection.

It is the goal of the KHTA to help identify and document historic theatres and conduct, support and spread the research about those theatres. It is our desire to increase the general public's awareness and appreciation of our historic Kansas theatres and the important role they play to the revitalization of our communities, both large and small.
